DESCPRIPTION OF PROJECT The National Water and Sewerage Corporation demanded an optimisation of the systems' management and operation tools especially with regard to reducing the unaccounted for water in the system. The Consultant prepared and implemented a training programme for NWSC staff including mainly the modules operation and maintenance, commercial and financial training, incl. GIS as a basis for MIS (management inform. system) and customer care training, public health education, public awareness building and management and organisation training. The training contained both theoretical and practical sessions, with emphasis on the latter. The on-job nature of the training allowed to identify readily any shortcomings or defects in the works.
